Adding some merry to the front porch
Denver and I spent time decorating the front porch for Christmas this past weekend. He wanted to put a Christmas tree out there this year. I figured we could stick the tree in a crock to display it. Luckily my parents have a few crocks handy, so I texted my dad to see if he had one we could borrow. He showed up later that night with a crock and tree. How sweet is that? So glad my dad recently upgraded to a smart phone - he now texts me back when I text him. He even sends pics every once in awhile. Is it just me, or do your parents get cuter the older you get?
Denver chalked the Merry Christmas sign. Check out the video of him creating it. Took him just a few minutes to create. After the video was done, he used a paint brush and chalk paste to add some red and green to the sign.
Since we found Chalk Couture, I find I pretty much want to chalk everything. We already had this lantern sitting on the porch. I figured why not add some whimsy to it and chalk some snowflakes on the glass. I think it turned out pretty cute! The great thing is once winter is over, I can use water and a paper towel to easily remove the snowflakes. I'm sure I'll find something else to chalk on it once Valentine's Day rolls around.
How are you guys decorating for the holidays?
